Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do anything right now?
There is no need to do anything. Your lease is transitioning automatically. We’ll send you further emails confirming your transition date and login details so you can access the new Paywise platform.
Is my lease changing?
Not at all. Your novated lease remains unchanged, with the same terms, same structure, and same support.
Will I still speak to the same team?
Yes. Our dedicated Customer Experience team is still here for you. You can even now speak to us through live chat (a new feature!).
What’s different with Paywise?
You’ll have access to a faster and more personal experience through the Member Portal and Mobile App, making it easy to check your fund balance, update info, make changes to your budgets and get in touch.
When will I get access to the Paywise Member Portal?
You’ll receive your login details from Paywise via email once your lease has been successfully transitioned. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders. Still can’t find it? Reach out to the Paywise team directly for assistance.
What happens to my existing fuel cards with beCarWise?
Your current fuel cards issued by beCarWise will be cancelled shortly after your lease is transitioned to Paywise. This ensures you have uninterrupted access to fuel and vehicle-related services via your new Paywise fuel card.
The Paywise fuel card is accepted by the majority of Australian petrol stations including Liberty, Caltex, Ampol, Puma, BP, Shell, 7-Eleven, Coles Express, KWIK Fuel, Felix Energy, EG Fuel Co, Better Choice, Woolworths & Mobil. Additionally, you can use your Paywise Fuel Card to pay for servicing, tyres, car washes and even windscreen repairs.
Once your previous fuel cards have been cancelled, we will begin reconciling any remaining balances associated with your beCarWise lease.
What’s happening with my funds in my beCarWise account?
Once your beCarWise fuel cards have been cancelled, we will begin reconciling any remaining balances associated with your beCarWise lease. These reconciled funds will appear as a deposit line in your Paywise account, ensuring transparency and continuity in your lease management.
Will I receive notification of my final balance with beCarWise?
Yes, once your lease has been transitioned and your beCarWise fuel cards have been cancelled, the beCarWise reconciliation team will contact you via email. This notification will confirm the final balance being transferred to your Paywise account.
You will see this amount reflected as a deposit line in your Paywise account, once the reconciliation is complete. If you have any questions about your balance or reconciliation, please contact beCarWise for further assistance.
Will I still receive my monthly driver reports via email?
No, you will no longer receive beCarWise driver reports via email. With the transition to Paywise, all payroll contributions and vehicle-related expenses are now managed through the enhanced Paywise Member Portal and Paywise App. Instead, you will begin receiving Paywise Transaction Reports each time a credit or debit is applied to your account, giving you real-time visibility into your lease activity.
How will my payroll contributions be managed in Paywise?
Your payroll contributions will continue as usual, with no changes to your deduction amounts during the transition. Once your lease is active with Paywise, all payments will be managed through the Paywise Member Portal and Paywise App, where you can view your transaction history, lease balance, and upcoming deductions in real time.
How will my reimbursement claims be managed in Paywise?
Reimbursement requests will be processed through the Paywise Member Portal and Paywise App. You’ll be able to submit claims online and track their progress, similarly to the current beCarWise process.
How will payments made on my behalf be managed by Paywise?
You will be able to submit your renewals (such as insurance, registration etc) via the Paywise Member Portal and Paywise app. Please note, payment requests now must have BPAY as a payment option for Paywise to assess these on your behalf.
Will my leasing consultant change?
Not exactly. As part of the transition, the beCarWise and Paywise leasing consultants are joining together to form a unified team. This means you’ll continue receiving the same personalised support you’re used to, now backed by a larger, more experienced team.
You may hear from a new name from time to time, but rest assured, your lease will continue to be managed with the same care and attention as always.
What happens to my beCarWise Chargefox subscription?
Your Chargefox subscription will be automatically transferred to Paywise. There’s no action required on your part, and your EV and PHEV charging access will continue seamlessly.
What happens to my beCarWise Roadside Assistance subscription?
Your beCarWise Roadside Assistance service will continue without interruption. You can still contact the same support number for assistance, and your coverage remains active throughout the transition.
Will my PHEV exemption remain, even after the 1st of April 2025?
Yes, the FBT exemption for your Plug-in Hybrid vehicle will remain intact. There will be no break in your novation agreement, no changes to the financial obligations, no change of employer, and your lease will not be refinanced as part of this transition.
Will my one-third FBT reduction eligibility remain intact?
Yes, your one-third FBT reduction will remain in place, as your novated lease continues without interruption, and you are not changing employers during the transition.
Will my payroll deductions change?
No, your payroll deductions will remain unchanged during the transition. If you wish to make any adjustments after the transition, the Paywise team will be available to assist with any payroll-related enquiries.
